The topics of the course include synthesis of nucleosides and nucleotides, protolytic equilibria, tautomerism, conformational equilibria, molecular interactions and coordination chemistry, synthesis of oligonucleotides and oligonucleotide conjugates, oligonucleotides and their conjugates as tools for cell biology, DNA base modifications, structure of nucleic acids, monomeric antivirals, enzymology of nucleic acids, catalytic nucleic acids.
